Picture Hanging Rail

Original artwork that is placed in your home can alter the mood there, making it cosier and more intimate. Some claim that art humanises and characterises the environment. The spectator will notice something unusual in your home if you have artwork hanging on the wall or on a shelf. There are many different ways to hang your pictures so let's take a look at what a picture hanging rail is and how will it benefit you.

What is a picture rail system?

A picture rail serves a very specific function and is used to hang pictures, as its name suggests. Drilling holes in the wall is a terrific alternative, and it makes moving pictures really simple. You may adjust the hanging wire at the rear of the picture to make it higher or lower, and you can simply slide the hook along the picture rail to move the picture left or right.

The most attractive interior walls of the Georgian era were horizontally divided into three sections, mimicking the proportions of a classic column. Traditionally, a picture rail was thought of as a thin wooden moulding below the cornice from which pictures were hung. However, our picture rail systems are a fantastic substitute if you don't have a wooden rail. Wires can be used to hang a number of pictures from a picture rail system. In order to select the proper wire, it is crucial to take the weight of your images into account.

What picture hanging systems are available?

Picture Rail Hooks

Due to their superior quality and selection, Artiteq picture hooks distinguish themselves from other hooks. For use with picture hanging systems, Artiteq has created a wide variety of hooks over the years. During the development process, a number of factors were considered, including weight, usability, cost, and material selection. Explore our selection of classic steel or premium TUV NORD Certified picture hooks; you're sure to discover the perfect hook to hang your favourite piece of art safely and securely. Check out our website for more information on hooks but we will look at three of our most popular hooks:

Microgrip Hook Selection

Modern hooks come in the form of Micro Grip. Because it is made of high-quality plastic that has been strengthened with fibreglass, the hook is incredibly lightweight and simple to use. There are three different versions of Micro Grip hooks: Micro Grip 2mm, Micro Grip Lock 2mm, and Micro Grip Slimline. Twister Slimline 1mm hanging wires work with the Micro Grip Slimline hook. All 2mm hanging wires and 2mm steel rods can be used with Micro Grip 2mm and Micro Grip Lock 2mm.

Picture Rail Hooks

Our picture rail hooks are used with loop hanging wires and come in three colours - white, nickel-plated and brass. You can choose between 18mm and 20mm sizes.

Clamping Picture Rail Hooks

These picture rail hooks are self-locking. The grip gets better when more weight is added to the picture frame because a heavier load tightens the clamping force on the rod. Any 4mm hanging rod, such as the U-Top Gallery Hanging Rod, is a wonderful match for this picture frame hook. Combining these hooks with the Ariteq Classic Rail+ picture hanging system rail, is a fantastic approach to displaying your pictures. Our frame clamping hooks come in two different weight classes: 40kg and 100kg. There is also the option of buying anti-theft clamping frame hooks in weight classes of 60kg and 100kg.

Picture Rail Hangers

For picture hanging systems, Artiteq has a wide selection of perlon & steel hanging wires. Various slider kinds (Twister, Twister Cliq2Fix, Solid Slider, and Slider + Perlon) are available and are affixed to the top of the hanging wire. In contrast to Solid Slider and Slider + Perlon, which can only be installed and removed at the end of the rail, all Twister hanging wires can be readily installed or moved anywhere along the picture hanging rail. The most adaptable and user-friendly method of hanging your artwork and wall accents is with twister hanging cables.

The benefits of hanging pictures on picture rails

- Why you should display your pictures on a picture system rail

Homeowners can now simply access easier art hanging techniques when it comes time to decorate. The use of picture rails gives the homeowner greater creative freedom and much easier access for hanging, changing, and removing artwork. Picture rails also provide the homeowner with a tool for literally framing their artistic vision on the wall. Picture rail systems are easy to install, professional-looking, and leave no damage

Simply screw the attachments to the wall and clip on the picture rail systems after they have been cut to the desired length to install a picture rail. When opposed to using a hammer and nails, the picture rail method causes less damage to your walls and enables you to hang many pieces of artwork. With the original artwork hanging, your wall will appear more polished and you'll be able to achieve the necessary framing and alignment. It is preferable to the trial-and-error method, which could result in expensive wall damage.

Curators of museums and galleries test out placements and arrangements by leaning the frame up against walls or the ground. This does not adequately convey how the image will look when hung on the wall. The picture always looks different after hanging. The picture hanging system makes it simple to alter the image's height and location to get the ideal setting based on how it will appear on the wall. Making precisely straight rows and grouping photos together is simple with the right approach.
